ONE BISCOTTI AT A TIME

Full Description:

That's exactly what Bonnie Quinn, Oro Valley resident, is doing -- baking one biscotti at a time in the battleground she calls kitchen-- in hopes to make the holidays for Tucson soldiers a little extra special.

Her goal is to make 30,000 biscottis (she's already past the halfway mark at 17,000), with each delectable dough to be shipped to Tucson soldiers deployed overseas.

And why biscotti? Bonnie's especially chose the chocolate-chip loaded baked goodie for its long shelf life.

And Carmen Whirley, whose husband is preparing for his second deployment, is currently on "card patrol" knows that the personalized gift cards attached to the goodies will warm the hearts of their brave troops.

If you would like to volunteer or deliver homemade cards, you can contact Bonnie at (520) 256-2827.
